- The memory controller is located on the CPU and it's called the IMC (integrated memory controller). That hates 4 sticks of ram and so do most motherboards. Weak 1st gen ryzen won't do 144FPS (unless heavily, HEAVILY overclocked with tight RAM timings and high RAM speeds), but you should be getting more than 80~
